Best day of my life

We often see each for we have our own lives and living in a different city. So when time allows us to meet I consider it the best day of my life.

I recently had lunch with my sister hours from her  flight schedule. She was here for academic stuffs and to check her students under her supervision who are having summer practicum.

I don’t know why I’m writing this but for sure deep in my heart a lot of reasons to be thankful with my Sister. She is the one who pushes me to chase my dreams, to step my feet into this jaded city world, to get a life out of our native land for she knows it’s one of my small dreams to live in my own, work and be independent.

She financially provides me at times when I was looking for a job. I know my words are not enough to say thank you and even thou I’m still on the path of looking and searching for my dreams. Waiting for it to turn into something you are always there for me smiling and listening to my rocky road journey.

I assure you my loving sister that I’m living my life to the fullest and have burn all my bitterness in life….lol

Thank You

A sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, a golden thread to the meaning of life!

Barbie must be Shy!

I still feel bad not updating my blog. Weeks have passed and I though everything is okay with me. Accepted the fact that I’m just a human being, only thing that I can control is my emotions and not other people behavior. I just have to deal with this. Stressful thou! but I’m here to live and life is good! So I have to embrace this worldly given attraction of theory of negativity and turn in into something positive for my own good.

Wonder what would happened if your world is all about plastic? Not literally plastic things but people within you….try to imagine.. visualize...

Not healthy for personal growth but we can't avoid them...Barbie must be so shy..so plastic! and I don't believe in plastic surgery but in this case...yes:)

With  this people around me, I realized I’m bless and you make me famous lol.. seriously  looking at you guys as a motivating factor: to see life not in a plastic way but in a better way would lead me to a good life…thank you guys!

Good thing I know where to shop happiness

*Love the moment. Flowers grow out of dark moments. Therefore, each moment is vital. It affects the whole. Life is a succession of such moments and to live each, is to succeed.

Better Person- try my luck!

Now I’d like to propose something. That I should make up my mind. Right here and now, to actually do it tomorrow- just as an experiment. I don’t have to tell anyone what I’m up to and no need to recruit others. I need to do it on my own and no big deal out of it. I just need to wake up with the attitude that no matter what happens throughout the day, I’m going to live the very best I have to offer. To live life in a way that makes me a better person.

I guess this could change everything! Seriously I have to do this!

Has Your Horoscope Changed?

I’m not the type of person, who relies on mysterious-sounding locations of stars to determine my personality and outcome in life. All I know is that my birth date falls on Sagittarius.  I’m not here to ask your opinion or question you if I need to believe in horoscope. I just want to share this new information that I read through online.

via

The astronomers from the Minnesota Planetarium Society found that because of the moon's gravitational pull on Earth, the alignment of the stars was pushed by about a month. See the Best Portraits from TIME 2010.

"When [astrologers] say that the sun is in pisces, it's really not in Pisces," noted Parke Kunkle, a member of the group's board. Your astrological sign is determined by the position of the sun on the day you were born, so that means everything you thought you knew about your horoscope is wrong.

It turns out that astrology has had issues from its inception. (Aside from the fact that it tries to link personality traits with positions of the stars.) Ancient Babylonians had 13 constellations, but wanted only 12, so threw out Ophuchicus, the snake holder. Libra didn't even enter the picture until the era of Julius Caesar.

According to the Minnesota Planetarium Society, here is where the real signs of the Zodiac should fall. Get ready for your world to change forever.

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17.
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.
 via

Now that astronomers at the Minnesota Planetarium Society have redefined the zodiac calendar, former Sagittarians and Capricorns born between Nov. 29 and Dec. 17 are buzzing about the unknown implications of their new sign. “Ophiuchus”.

Whether or not you're part of the million people who believe in this astorological signs, shocking or not, who doesn’t get a kick out of comparing our personal lives to the alleged horoscope traits.

We all need a good luck and charms in this life but as The Alchemist says, “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve It." and the world won’t change for you, society or the stars neither.

So for this year, I’m determined to have a little change in my life, like how this astrological sign moves to a new position to the sun.  The key to change is to let go FEAR! To begin to live without fear is to be able to change without fear. Fear is like a virus that wrecks havoc in our lives. It develops into mistrust, anxiety, worry, hopelessness, and other negative emotions. It paralyzes us and hinders our progress in life.

Change starts within us to be a better person. We have to stop being PEFECT person-this is impossible and stressful. Live life everyday as a new chance of being the best that we can possibly. So instead of being shocked or annoyed with this astrological changes why don't we focus on our lives to be better and to live the best we can.

Happy weekend!

Life is Good!

A dinner for 2

I just had a wonderful night. A late dinner with a good friend to celebrate his new work, new wardrobe - It took us a whole Saturday to revamp his look. So goodbye to loose shirts and jeans. Hello Polished look.

We had our dinner at Cafe Go-Go. The place is not your typical coffee shop with its different shape wood tables, comfy coach, big chairs and carefree interior accents. The interior lighting is relaxing, but not to the point of making you doze off. It reminds me of my fave third place, when I was trying to be scholarly and finish my master degree for MBA. So I guess this place would be on my top list. A place where I can just relax, play, and bond with the people closest to me.

Thank you to my good friend for the lovely night and for showing me to never be afraid of changes in life..to embrace it, enjoy it, to improve my life.

I realized that we can change some things that we think we can not. The key to being able to change things that seem out of our control is to open our mind to alternatives. When we start looking for alternative solutions we may not be able to find big changes but small ones can help.

To my good friend, a big thanks and goodluck!

Life is good!

Dawn Mass

Time flies and it would be the start of Simbang Gabi and no one can stop it! Christmas is here:)

It’s been 3 years I been living in this tradition of attending Simbang Gabi. There would be times that I braved the cold breeze weather just to complete the 9-days novena mass but not a quite sacrifice for me. This is my only way to thank God for all the blessing he has given to me.

Simbang Gabi literal meaning in English is “Midnight or Evening Mass” but notably called Dawn Mass.  It is actually held 9 days before Christmas. It is noteworthy that the Simbang Gabi tradition continues regardless of where we are. What is important is what inside our hearts, a profound meaning to it, something about our faith in God. Simbang Gabi is celebrated during the advent season, we are actually requested to prepare and be watchful for the coming of the Messiah. Preparation   would entail good deeds, not limiting it to the family circle but to everyone, especially those in need.

I know it is difficult to be holy these days, and I for one is struggling very hard to be good and not to be bitch!

Let's try to exert our best efforts for a little change:)

I wish you all a Happy and Meaningful Advent!

Life is good!

Christmas Reflection

Pink Sister church Tagaytay
Once again we are in the season of Advent indicating that Christmas is just around the corner and I couldn’t remember any biblical or hymn during this season, thou I come from a catholic school and shame on me! But one thing I’m sure that as the year end and start a new one. I have to count my blessings and be as human as I can for the coming year.

Christmas is a commemoration of God’s coming into the world. He came for all of us – believers and non-believers alike. His birth should bring us hope and triumph which will dispel the sadness from our lives. But after years of celebrating Christmas after Christmas many of us are yet to see that triumph in our lives and our hopes may be giving way to despair.

I guess the real problem today is that we are waiting for God to literally come to us. We celebrate His birth just like that of any one of us – offering prayers, eating, drinking and making merry. We celebrate his coming into the world but we do not welcome Him into our hearts and lives.

Yes, He has come into the world and is very much in our midst but unfortunately we refuse to recognize Him therefore fail to welcome Him. Amidst our celebrations this Christmas, let us pause a while to look around us to recognize that Jesus who was born into the world two thousand years ago. He is among us in every person and in every trial and tribulation we encounter in our lives. Let us take a moment to look around to recognize Him in those who do not have joy and peace in their lives.

So as the year end lets try to focus on the blessings in our lives. Thou we tend to focus so much on what’s wrong with our lives- our job, relationship and other circumstances- we fail to notice what’s going right. It is often necessary to focus on what’s wrong in order to make things better. But ask yourself these questions: Are you dwelling  on what’s wrong because you genuinely trying to improve things? Or are you focused on all that’s wrong out of pure habit? Do you discuss your problems with other in a constructive attempt to solve them? Or are you just venting and reinforcing negativity in the process?

Remember that we all have the power to reduce the percentage of time we spend focused on what’s wrong and spend this time appreciating what’s right instead. You will be amazed at how rewarding this shift in thinking can be. By focusing on the blessings, we will become more easily satisfied, loving, grateful and appreciative.

As negative thoughts creep into our mind, learn to let them pass and replace them with thoughts about all that’s right instead. The best part of this change is that all it takes is a little bit intent, practice and repitation.

So for this year..I hope we all focus to be more human!..lol..sorry If  I’m a bit preachy with this entry..I just need to write this down:)

I Love Words

I Love Words.

I Love to read Quotes or Words from a Book first thing in the morning - just taking a few minutes to pick a page of one of my Favourite Books by random (or so it seems).  I love 'Goddess' by Toni Carmine Salerno - LOVE the images and LOVE the words.  I choose a page - the words (and image) are perfect as always -

"Create
For it is in creation that you exist
In this world full of wonder

Through love and hatred
Joy and sadness
Laughter and tears

The unknown awaits you
Step into the void
With courage and strength

Allow your inner light to unfold
Like a budding rose
Searching for the sun

Go where love leads you
Keep your pockets full of dreams
And allow them to be your guide."

I Love Words.  I Love these Words "The unknown awaits you   Step into the void   With courage and strength" - perfect for my day of going out into Community to build my Coaching Business.

I go outside to Exercise - and it feels great - I allow myself to enjoy Running for 10 minutes to the beach and then I enjoy Walking - it feels great to be alive.  I spend some time enjoying housework when I get Home, so that my Man and I can put our energy into other Priorities this weekend.

I love being in my Coaching room - I love setting up my room and getting ready for Clients.  I lay out my Angel Cards and pick two cards that speak to me
- Astara - "You deserve the best!  Reach for the stars with your dreams and desires, and don't compromise
- Archangel Ariel - "Prosperity - Your material needs are provided as you follow your intuition and manifest your dreams into reality"

I enjoy a Meditation, I really love just sinking in my chair and enjoying the quiet, the peace.  I have a sense of me rolling down a hill and that I am like a ball of wool that becomes bigger and gathers momentum.   In my Meditation, I also get a sense of a mirror and that it is most important how I see myself - that when I look in the mirror I have Self-Love.

I have a sense that Self-Care is very important to me - and that I must look after myself.  I also see an image of me in Gunnamatta Bay - one of my favourite places - I am in the park and I am just relaxing, enjoying Nature.  And then other people come to the park and relax in Nature.  I have a sense that I should combine my love of Nature, Walking and Coaching - Inspiring Medicine Walks and then time for Reflection (WOW -  I LOVE this insight).

In my Meditation I ask - "What can I do to move my business forward?" - the Word TRUST comes to me.   My Meditation ends when I get a sense of the words "Do It Now", "Do It Now", "Do It Now".  I am Inspired by these Words.  So I ring a potential Client and I am Excited that he is interested and mid next week we are going to organise a time for next Friday.  With Confidence (and my Yin and Yang in Commitment to work together) I walk (with no fear) into two of the doctor's clinics in Cronulla and make appointments for next week.  I am so Passionate about helping people - THIS MATTERS TO ME - I am Delighted that I have times in their diary so that I can explain Coaching and that they can then refer people to me that may need Support and help to move forward in their life.

I also enjoy a trip to the library - wow - I had forgotten how great it is to visit a library.  I follow my Intuition and I am guided towards a book 'Now Is The Time' by Patrick Lindsay.  I read some great Quotes that really speak to me.

"Now Is The Time To...
Focus Your Energy
We are constantly faced with competing demands,
And easily distracted by the noise and the interruptions.
To be effective in our lives and work, we must focus.
We must decide on our priorities.
We must channel energy and attend to the task before us."

"Now Is The Time To...
Commit Yourself
Those who succeed set themselves apart by their commitment.
Most of us make an effort.
We prepare; we try; but then we hope.
If you really want to achieve something,
You must be prepared to stretch yourself.
You must distil your energy and focus all your efforts.
You must give of yourself."

"If you're not actively involved in getting what you want, you don't really want it."

"Now Is The Time To...
Show Your True Colours
If you believe passionately that something is right,
Fight for it with all your might.
Dig deep in your Soul and refuse to give ground.
Even when the odds seem overwhelming, keep fighting.
You'll be amazed how often persistence wins the day."

"Now Is The Time To...
Follow Your Heart
Never underestimate the power of your heart.
We are Passionate about someone, or something,
Few obstacles can defeat us,
Our hearts can inspire Greatness,
Sweep aside adversity,
Break new ground
And draw others along with us."

I Love Words.  I Love Books.  I am happy that I joined the library and borrowed two books that I was drawn to - 'Law of Attraction' and 'The Everything Self-Esteem Book' - books and information and Words that may help me in my work with Clients.  While I have studied so much and love what I have studied, I love that I can constantly read and learn Self-Development books that will help me on my own Journey and in my walk with my Clients.  While having lunch I flick through 'The Everything Self-Esteem Book' and there are three pieces of information / paragraphs/ Words that catch my Interest:
- "Research shows that people spend less than thirty hours over their entire lifetime thinking about and researching their career choices.  If you begin work at twenty years of age, work forty hours per week, and retire at sixty-five, you will have worked 93,600 hours in a job that may not have been your Calling."

- "Your Uniqueness - If you try to place a value (worth) on your life based on other people, you are denying your uniqueness, your rareness.  You are saying to yourself, 'It is of no importance to have qualities that belong exclusively to me.  You are saying to yourself, I am not a miracle.  I am not a marvel.  I have no specific purpose for being here.'  Think of the tragedy in those statements.  Think about your life at this very moment.  What is your miracle?"

- "Dr. Wright made the following statement: 'What you think about me is none of my business.' Let me give that to you again. 'What you think about me is none of my business.'  Profound.  When you think about Dr. Wright's statement, you realise just how brave that statement is and how much self-esteem one has to have to ever think it, much less say it out loud.  He went on to discuss the fact that the students present did not know him as a private citizen, as a son, a brother, a partner, an uncle, or a friend.  When you think about it, how many people know us in every capacity?  Dr. Wright's statement is prophetic.  He was right.  Others' opinions of you are none of your business, because they don't really know you."

WOW.  I Love Words - Words that Inspire.  I am so glad that I am a Life Coach.  I AM A LIFE COACH!!  I Love saying these Words.  Not from a position of Ego or Arrogance - instead from a position of loving what I do and being proud that I am making my dreams come true.

Written Words are wonderful - and I also love Words spoken from the heart.  Tonight I am so Grateful that a Family Friend came out in the rain on a Friday night to fix our hot water system - and I kept telling him how Grateful I am - he is a really nice man - and his act of kindness has definitely Spread The Yellow to me.  I am so Excited that I will be able to enjoy a hot bath tonight and read a book.  I love reading in the bath.  After reading so many Words from Self-Development books, I think tonight I will enjoy a chapter or two from a Love Story.  I was saying today that I would like to enjoy more Fiction books - while I have about 5 Non-Fiction Books on the go - I do love a good Story - just a chance to relax.

Time to relax...

... Or so I thought - after I had already Published this Post - I ran my bath, all set for a hot bath and to my surprise the lovely hot water that first comes out of the pipes, very quickly becomes cold - oh no, the hot water is gone again.  I boil water for a while and yet it does not boil fast enough to keep me warm.  And I realise that this is not very relaxing.  Just as I find myself getting disappointed, I find myself being Grateful that I have a Home, warm clothes, a heater and water - whereas I think of families living in Poverty who do not even have these basic needs being met.  I am so fortunate.

I am so Grateful and so fortunate and yet I still have a disappointment that my Friday night is not going so well - especially since my Man is locked away trying to fix his computer and now the hot water system.  I Love Words and yet right now we need some Silence and Distance - my Man is not very happy after working long hours all week.  And now he tells me to watch the DVD on my own.  And I am not very happy that he is not very happy and that we are spending the night apart, rather than relaxing together.  After my bath, I put out a fresh towel for my Man and the towel that I first pick up is the Yellow towel I bought for him for Christmas with the words "My Mr Wonderful" - of course (despite my disappointment) my Man is My Mr Wonderful ...

I wish I could find the right Words to make my Man feel better - and yet I will just give him Space.  And  I am choosing right now to enjoy my night and enjoy a movie, relaxing on the couch...
